CHRIS RYAN

Chris Ryan isn't complex but he's a good guy at heart. But also, he's a fuckboi, & Sandy is wasting her time trying to make him love her. He's in a cool band, that's not very good. Sandy is obsessed with him, & Kimber has a secret crush on him too. He's really hot & nice if you really get to know him. He'll fight the bad guys to protect the people he loves.

BRENT

He's the star quarterback, he's a hunk, his dad owns the town's McDonald's, and he's got narcissistic personality disorder. In other words, the world is his oyster! He always gets what he wants, and what he wants right now is to have sex with Sandy. Also he wants to piss off Kimber. Will this douchebag win? Hell no. Because this is a made up story.

DK

DK is a great guy. He's cool and confident and eccentric. He's funny, smart and the second string quarterback. He respects himself, knows his worth, and so he is able to respect and appreciate women too. He has an unrequited crush on Sandy because he thinks that she's smart, cool and he likes that she's a top-notch musician.

SANDY'S MOM

Sandy's mom is a laid-back hippy who just wants to be left alone to read and garden and go on walks with her dog. She loves Sandy very much, but is dealing with a lot right now with her divorce from Sandy's dad, and so she isn't present for Sandy to talk to when Sandy needs help, making Sandy feel very much alone.

MCCARTY

McCarty is the marching band director and Sandy's first friend at her new school. He represents the loving and present father figure that Sandy has been missing. He tries to help Sandy and to give her good advice. But, like most teenagers, Sandy ignores him and goes on a self-destructive rampage instead.

LAUREN

Lauren is a small-town pageant queen and a member of Kimber's flag girl team. She's super insecure and is threatened by Sandy. She is the sort-of-girlfriend of Brent Clark, and she lets Brent get away with disrespecting her and cheating on her constantly. She has a moment of redemption at the end.

MORGAN

Morgan is so nice and sweet, it shouldn't even be possible. She's a member of Kimber's flag team, and other than Sandy, is Kimber's closest friend. She in naive and loves the world and is an Instagram influencer who sells expensive yoga pants. Her good friend Pauly has a secret crush on her and she thinks he's pretty great too.

PAULY

Pauly is the bass guitarist of Chris Ryan's band. He's a good dude, a secret sweetheart, and he's been in love with Morgan since they were little kids. He's too shy to tell Morgan how he feels, but ultimately gets some help from Kimber to express his feelings to Morgan (and the results are adorable).

DOONEY

Dooney is Brent's lackey goon. He's big and dumb and thinks Brent is the coolest and best guy in the whole world. He's a linebacker on the football team. He's not a bad guy, just the subservient goon of a bad guy.

SANDY'S DAD

Sandy's dad is a workaholic jerk who is obsessed with Sandy becoming a lawyer. It's why Sandy's mom divorced him.He's basically out of Sandy's life at the beginning of the story but we see the damage he left Sandy with in flashbacks.
